Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 01-May-2026

Last Updated: 01-May-2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wondertree ("Pet Note," "we," "us," and "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use Pet Note, including the Pet Note mobile application, website, account services, support channels, and related features (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Pet Note, we may collect, receive, generate, or process:

  • account information, such as your name, email address, sign-in method, and settings;
  • pet records and content you choose to enter, such as pet names, photos, dates of birth, weights, notes, symptoms, reminders, vaccination records, vet details, insurance details, microchip details, receipts, and documents;
  • app activity and usage information, such as feature interactions, device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, approximate region, and performance data;
  • support communications, feedback, reviews, survey responses, and similar messages;
  • purchase or subscription status from app stores or payment providers, but not full payment card numbers handled by those providers.

Some information may be personal information about you. Some information may relate to your pet, household, veterinarian, clinic, insurer, or another person you choose to include. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to provide information about other people.

2. Information From Your Device and App Permissions

Pet Note may ask for device permissions so you can use specific features. These may include permission to send notifications, access photos or files you choose to upload, use the camera to add a pet photo or receipt, or use other device features you enable.

You can manage permissions through your device settings. If you disable a permission, some features may not work as expected.

3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

Pet Note is not designed to collect payment card numbers, government identification numbers, passwords, detailed human medical information, or sensitive information about other people. Please do not enter information that is not needed for pet care organisation.

Pet Note is not a veterinary medical record system. If you enter veterinary records, prescriptions, symptoms, medication notes, or other health-related pet information, you do so to organise your own pet care records and should keep independent copies of important records.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, sync, secure, and improve Pet Note;
  • create pet profiles, timelines, reminders, notes, summaries, and account features;
  • send service messages, support replies, reminders, and notices you request or allow;
  • debug issues, understand app performance, prevent abuse, and protect the Service;
  • develop new features, including future care summaries and AI-supported tools;
  • show, measure, and improve our website, app store listings, and product communications;
  • comply with legal, safety, tax, accounting, app store, and platform requirements.

5. AI Features

Pet Note may include features that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automated processing, or similar technologies to organise notes, summarise pet care records, identify possible patterns, draft suggested questions, or prepare care briefs.

To provide these features, we may process the information you choose to enter in Pet Note and may use service providers that help us deliver AI functionality. AI outputs are for general organisation only and are not veterinary advice, diagnosis, treatment advice, medication guidance, emergency advice, insurance advice, or a substitute for professional judgment.

Where permitted by law, we may use aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified information to evaluate, improve, and develop Pet Note and AI Features. We will not use identifiable private pet records, pet photos, personal information, veterinary records, insurance details, receipts, or private notes to train public-facing AI models or unrelated third-party AI systems without appropriate notice and, where required, your consent.

We may use safety filters, abuse monitoring, logging, quality checks, and human review where needed to operate, secure, debug, or improve AI Features. Where practical, we use limited, minimised, aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified information for these purposes.

If you report an AI output or send feedback about an AI Feature, we may process the report, the related output, and the information you choose to include so we can investigate, improve safety, respond to you, and improve the feature.

6. Marketing, Media, and Product Communications

We may use Pet Note's name, branding, app screens, example records, sample data, aggregated statistics, anonymised information, and de-identified insights for marketing, media, app store listings, product demonstrations, investor materials, social media, website content, and similar promotional purposes.

We will not use your private pet records, identifiable pet photos, personal details, veterinary records, insurance details, microchip details, receipts, private notes, or other identifiable content in public marketing or media without your separate permission.

If you choose to provide feedback, testimonials, images, quotes, case studies, reviews, or other material for marketing or media purposes, we may use that material in connection with Pet Note. You can contact us to withdraw future use of identifiable marketing material you previously approved.

We may send product updates, launch news, feature announcements, or similar communications where permitted by law. You can opt out of optional marketing messages where an unsubscribe or account setting is provided. We may still send service, security, legal, billing, or account messages that are not optional marketing.

7. Analytics, Diagnostics, and App Store Disclosures

We may use analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and feedback tools to understand whether Pet Note is working properly and how to improve it. These tools may process device information, app version, usage events, crash logs, diagnostics, and approximate region.

If Pet Note is distributed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another marketplace, we may provide privacy, data safety, nutrition label, or similar disclosures required by that marketplace. Those disclosures are intended to match this Privacy Policy and the app's actual data practices.

8. Tracking, Advertising, and Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not use private pet records, notes, uploaded documents, or identifiable pet photos for third-party behavioural advertising.

If we ever introduce advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, remarketing, or similar advertising technology, we will update this Privacy Policy and request permission where required by law or platform rules.

9. When We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • service providers that help with hosting, storage, authentication, databases, analytics, diagnostics, notifications, AI functionality, support, payments, and security;
  • app stores and payment providers for purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and fraud checks;
  • professional advisers, authorities, or other parties where required for legal, safety, or compliance reasons;
  • another organisation if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructure, or sale of assets;
  • other people or services when you ask us to share information or give permission.

Service providers are expected to process information only as needed to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law and their applicable terms.

10. Legal Bases Where Required

Where privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, we may rely on your consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, protection of rights and safety, or another lawful basis depending on the context.

Our legitimate interests may include operating and improving Pet Note, preventing abuse, securing the Service, understanding product performance, supporting users, and developing new features in a responsible way.

11. Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide Pet Note, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, and operate the Service.

You may stop using Pet Note at any time. Where available, you may use in-app tools to delete your account or contact us for deletion support. Some information may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, app store records, legal records, fraud-prevention records, support records, or where we are required or permitted by law to retain it.

Deleting the app from your device may not delete your account or cloud-stored records. If account deletion tools are available in the app, use those tools or contact us for help.

You can also visit Delete Your Pet Note Account for the website deletion pathway.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You can choose what information to enter into Pet Note, update your records, manage device permissions, turn notifications on or off, unsubscribe from optional marketing messages where offered, and request help with access, correction, or deletion.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your data is handled. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

Please avoid entering information that is not needed for pet care organisation, including payment card numbers, government identification numbers, passwords, or sensitive information about other people unless you have the right to provide it.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. However, no app, website, database, cloud service, device, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your device, email account, app store account, sign-in providers, operating system, backups, and network.

14. Children

Pet Note is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through Pet Note, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

Pet Note accounts are intended for people aged 18 or older. If you are under 18, you should not create or use a Pet Note account unless a parent or legal guardian creates or manages the account and is responsible for your use of the Service.

15. International Transfers

We may process and store information in Australia and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

Pet Note may rely on or link to third-party services, including app stores, sign-in providers, hosting providers, storage providers, analytics tools, AI providers, payment processors, support tools, and external websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies and terms.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the date above, posting the updated policy, or providing an in-app notice.
